Answer:
The solutions are:
x = -5
x = -6

Explanation:
To get the solution, we can either use a graphical method or an algebraic method.

1- graphical method:
The solution of the equation would be the values of the x-intercept.
Graphing the equation (check attached image), we would find that the solutions are: -6 and -5

2- algebraic method:
The general formula of the quadratic equation is:
ax² + bx + c = 0
The given equation is:
x² + 11x + 30 = 0
By comparison:
a = 1
b = 11
c = 30
To get the roots, we will substitute in the quadratic formula  (attached in the images)
Doing this, we will find that:
either x = \frac{-11 +  \sqrt{(11)^2-4(1)(20)} }{2(1)}= -5

or x = \frac{-11 - \sqrt{(11)^2-4(1)(20)} }{2(1)} = -6

Hope this helps :)

Convert 59°F to Celsius, using the formula C = (F - 32). 1°C 15°C 49°C 51°C
olasank [31]

Answer: second option

Step-by-step explanation:

The  formula to convert the temperature from degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius is:

C=\frac{5}{9}(F-32)

Where C  is the temperature in degrees Celsius and F is the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.

Having the temperature 59 °F (degrees Fahrenheit), you need to substitute it into the formula C=\frac{5}{9}(F-32) to make the conversion from degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius (C).

Then, you get:

C=\frac{5}{9}(59-32)\\C=15\°

Determine which set of side measurements could be used to form a right triangle.
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

The sets (\sqrt{7}, 4, \sqrt{23}) and(\sqrt{29}, \sqrt{39}, 68) could be used to form a right triangle.

What is right triangle?

A right triangle, also known as a right-angled triangle, an orthogonal triangle, or historically a rectangled triangle, is a triangle with one right angle, meaning that its two sides are perpendicular. Trigonometry's foundation is the relationship between the right triangle's sides and other angles.

Since for the right triangle is a, b, c are three sides of a triangle, where c is the diagonal, then

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

Consider, the set  (3, 5, 8)

Here,  3^2 + 5^2 ≠ 8^2.

Consider, the set (8, 9, 11)

Here, 8^2 + 9^2 ≠ 11^2

Consider, the set (\sqrt{7}, 4, \sqrt{23})

Here, (\sqrt{7})^2 + 4^2 = (\sqrt{23})^2

Consider, the set (\sqrt{29}, \sqrt{39}, 68)

Here, (\sqrt{29})^2 + (\sqrt{39})^2 = 68

Hence, (\sqrt{7}, 4, \sqrt{23}), (\sqrt{29}, \sqrt{39}, 68) could be used to form a right triangle.
