Answer:

The answer to your question would be that the complement indicated by the bolded word is an objective complement.

Explanation:

An objective complement or object complement is a word that follows a direct object to state what it has become. In other words, it gives further meaning to the direct object. It can be a noun, an adjective, or a pronoun. In the example above, "a winner" is what the D.O has become, what "the play" has become.

Answer:

O not finished.

Explanation:

The word 'extension' means to be given more time, to be allowed to have the chance of a postponed time limit or closing time. This means that a person is being given extra time to make final completion of any work.

In a similar case, Evangelina has asked for an extension to finish the project she's been given. With the word "not finished", we can know that the extension is related to the unfinished project.

Thus, the words "not finished" give us a clue about what the word extension means.

Answer:

D - The allusion reminds the audience that 100 years have passed since the Emancipation Proclamation, yet inequality still exists.

Explanation:

All of the other answer options do not make sense, they are incorrect.

What was the Emancipation Proclamation? President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, as the nation approached its third year of bloody civil war. The proclamation declared "that all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious states "are, and henceforward shall be free."

A) The allusion indicates to the audience that enslaving people was always illegal in the United States. ---- This is not true. It was legal for a time.

B) The allusion reflects Dr. King’s importance since it refers to another important figure in American history: President Lincoln. ---- It does, but thats not why he reffered to it.

C) The allusion demonstrates Dr. King’s belief that equality was achieved with the Emancipation Proclamation. ---- This is incorrect. He clearly states that equality was NOT achieved by the emancipation proclamation.

Hope this help and you can understand it better! Have a great day!

Which of the following best exemplifies 3rd person omniscient?
klio [65]
An example of third person omniscient would be "Sarah felt very lonely after her brother went to college, but her brother was excited to go to college." Third person omniscient is when the narrator knows all of the characters feelings and it uses words like "he, she, hers, his, he said, she felt" and other words like that. First person would use words like "mine, I felt, I" You did not post the responses to the question so I hope this was helpful. But just know that the correct answer should have a bunch of characters feelings and should use words such as "hers, his, she," Also third person LIMITED means the author/narrator knows only one persons thoughts.
