It's been a while since i read this, but one example of dramatic irony in this play would be that the audience knows that the old woman is the one that the man is looking for, but he doesn't realize it because he is expecting a young, beautiful girl.
In “Crossroads: A Sad Vaudeville” the purpose of using dramatic irony is to build suspense towards the man’s reaction.
Explanation:
Dramatic irony refers to the audience knowing more than some characters in a play. One example of dramatic irony can be found in the following sentence: “Shall I tell him that I’m that woman he’s waiting for?” In this case, the public is aware that she is the woman he longes. However, since she is not as young as he expects, he is ignorant of that fact.
Depends on the conflict if its drama just walk away if you do it wont bother u. if its beyond walking away talk to an adult that can help you or maybe help the situation.
