The length is two times its width, and the perimeter equals 24.

All the sides added up equal 24.

4 and 8 could be the width and the length of the rectangle.

4*2= 8 and

4+4+8+8= 24

width= 4 length= 8

I hope this helps!

So the length is 2 times the width, which means you double the length when adding. To find the perimeter of a rectangle, you add the sides.

l= length= 2w
w= width

l + w= 24
Substitute in the same variable as width
2w+w=24
3w=24
Divide both sides by 3
w=8 width

2w= 2(8)= 16 = length

Hope this helps!! :)

Use the equation to identify a and b * a = 1/5 and b = 3 a = 3 and b = 1/5 a= 1/5 and b =1 a = 1 and b = 3
Nadya [2.5K]

Answer:

a = 3

b = \frac{1}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

f(x) = 3(\frac{1}{5})^x --- Missing from the question

Required

Identify a and b

The given equation is an exponential function and the general form is:

f(x) = ab^x

When f(x) = ab^x is compared to f(x) = 3(\frac{1}{5})^x

We have that: a = 3 and b = \frac{1}{5}

Simplify (5 x + 1) - (-10 x + 6)
tekilochka [14]

Answer:15x+7

Step-by-step explanation:

First you would see that the -(-10x+6) would turn into 10x+6 meaning that the whole equation would turn into 5x+1+10x+6. Then add the x numbers together and the whole numbers separate. So now your answer should be 15x+7
