Hey there!

To find the value of f(-2), first locate a point on your graph with -2 as its x value. To do this, locate -2 on the x axis and move towards the function. When you do, you should find the point (-2, 4).
Therefore, your answer would be the y-value of the point, 4.

To find the value of f(5), you would do the same as above. When you locate your point, you should find (5,3).
Therefore, your answer would be the y-value of the point, 3.

Hope this helps! :)

The number of medals won by an Olympic Team is modeled by y = 3x + 5, where x is the
g100num [7]

Answer:

13/2

Step-by-step explanation:

$ y $ is the number of medals won. So for the number of medals to be equal in both the case we have to equate $ y $ in both the equations.

Thus we would have:

$ 3x + 5 = 5x - 8 $

Solving for $ x $ we have: $ 2x = 13 $.

$ \implies x = \frac{13}{2} $

Can someone help me please
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

1921.67

1922 to the nearest whole number

Step-by-step explanation:

Cylinder

V = pi*r^2 * h

pi = 3.14

r = d/2

r = 12/2

r = 6

h = 13

V = 3.14 * 6^2 * 13

V = 1469.52

1/2 Sphere

V= 2/3 * pi * r^3

r = 6

pi = 3.14

V = (2/3) 3.14 * 216

V = 452.2

Total Volume

V_tot = 452.2 + 1469.52

V_tot = 1921.67

An anthropologist studies a woman's femur that was uncovered in Madagascar. To estimate the woman's height, he uses the equation
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

The inequality best represents the length of the femur that would suggest the woman had a height greater than 160 cm is:

f > 40

Step-by-step explanation:

Woman's height (cm): h = 60 + 2.5 f

Length of the femur (cm): f

Height greater than 160 cm:

h > 160

Replacing h by 60+2.5f in the inequality above:

60+2.5f > 160

Solving for f: Subtracting 60 both sides of the inequality:

60+2.5f-60 > 160-60

Subtracting

2.5f > 100

Dividing both sides of the inequality by 2.5:

2.5f/2.5 > 100/2.5

f > 40

Answer: The inequality best represents the length of the femur that would suggest the woman had a height greater than 160 cm is:

f > 40

assume that tge volume,v, of a sphere is expanding at a rate of 100 inches cubex per minute, the volume of a sphere is given by
