A cone-shaped container sits inside a larger cone. The inner cone has a height of 3 in. and a diameter of 5 in. The outer cone h

as the same diameter and is 14 in. tall. The extra space in the outer cone is filled with crushed ice to keep the contents of the inner cone cool.
What is the volume of crushed ice? Round your answer to two decimal places and use 3.14 to approximate pi.

Volume of cone=1/3 time (area of base=circle) times height

iner cone=1/3 times pi times radius^2 times 3
diameter/2=radius
5/2=2.5
1/3 times 3.14 times 2.5^2 times 3=19.625=volume of inner cone

outer cone=14 times 3.14 times 2.5^2 times 1/3=91.5833
subtract
91.5833-19.625=71.9583
round
71.96 in^3

1: 121, 2: 59, 3: 59

This is for the first graph because if you look at the bottom half of a circle is 180 so since one is 121 you just have to subtract 121 from 180 and you have your answer

A single die is rolled twice. The 36 equally-likely outcomes are shown to the right. Find the probability of getting two numbers
qwelly [4]
1 out of 36 is the answer because the only sun that equals 2 on a die is 1+1 and it pops up once on the chart therefore it’s a 1 in 36 chance

Transformation Rule:
Translate 4 units right and 3 units up.
B
Х
A
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Translation of a point (h, k) by 'a' units to the right and 'b' units upwards is defined by,

(h, k) → (h + a, k +b)

Coordinates of A → (-4, -2)

Coordinates of B → (1, -1)

Coordinates of C → (0, -5)

If these points are shifted 4 units right and 3 units up,

By applying rules of the translation,

Coordinates of image point A' → (-4 + 4, -2 + 3)

                                                    → (0, 1)

Coordinates of B' → (1 + 4, -1 + 3)

                             → (5, 2)

Coordinates of C' → (0 + 4, -5 + 3)

                             → (4, -2)

Now plot these points on the graph.

john ran 9/10 mile on saturday. he ran 2/5 mile sunday and 3/10 mile on monday. how many more miles did john run saturday than o
zimovet [89]

The number of more miles John ran is 7/5

  • Saturday = 9/10 mile
  • Sunday = 2/5 mile
  • Monday = 3/10 mile

Sunday + Monday = 2/5 + 3/10

= (2+3) / 10

= 5/10

= 1/2

Saturday - (Sunday + Monday)

= 9/10 - 1/2

= (9+5) / 10

= 14/10

= 7/5
