Answer: Irony

Irony refers to a rhetorical device in which what appears to be the case is in fact dramatically different from the reality. In this case, both Jim and Della believed themselves to be giving the perfect gift to the other person, not knowing that the other person was giving away the thing that was necessary for the gifts to work. This is an example of irony.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ACCESS TO ACCELERATED READER AT THE MOMENT? (MEAING YOU CAN TAKE TESTS)
Greeley [361]

Haha, not every school uses accelerated reader, keep that in mind, so not much people can answer your question

Lucky for you my school uses it.

Unlucky for you is that no one has it.

Let me explain, so basically you have to pay for accelerated reader as a school, so once you pay you have access to your own account where you can log in to every other computer to have access to the test.

The thing is, if you wanted to take a test at home, you will have to have not only the application, but also the school account to make sure that your test is scored and sent to the school

And only the princeable and maybe the vice know the account

And theyre not gonna give it to you as you can easily cheat on a test

Sorry bud, but atleast i gave you an explanation, glad to know theres someone else that has to deal with this pain in the butt besides me lol

Lesson 16: Writing Workshop: Poem
Anit [1.1K]

(All you have to do is submit it to "Check your work.")

Stars

Billions and trillions, painting the sky.

Shining light of unique wonder.

Young child glanced up, with a sigh

"How many are there" she would ponder.

All different sizes and shapes you see,

Seen only at night through curious orbs.

To be a star, up in the sky living free?

The idea was a wondrous thought to absorb.

Small hands grasped together in anticipation,

Awaiting the moment to come.

"Aren't stars such wonderful creations?"

She asks with a gentle hum.

Dancing across the sky like a ballet,

the stars whisper sweet nothings.

Upon the crisp green grass the child lay,

Hoping that soon she'll at least see something.

Quick as seen, like a predator and prey.

The stars twinkled in amusement.

They feared most the oncoming day.

Blame on the clouds in accusement.

As bright and as beautiful as anything ever,

the sky lit up with fallen stars.

'My, I could watch this forever-"

Watching the scene from afar.

Were stars lonely up in the sky?

Wondering now as she ponders.

Do they ever break down and cry?

No! There are millions of others!

Though, do they all feel lonely?

Up there in the sky, awaiting day?

"Perhaps they do" She stated surely.

"Stars shall never be forgotten" She'd say.

zmey [24]

Answer:The reader learns that Mr. Bennet’s property is entailed, meaning that it must pass to a man after Mr. Bennet’s death and cannot be inherited by any of his daughters. His two youngest children, Catherine (nicknamed Kitty) and Lydia, entertain themselves by beginning a series of visits to their mother’s sister, Mrs. Phillips, in the town of Meryton, and gossiping about the militia stationed there.
