Answer:

Although the light bulb had been invented by many scientists during the 1800s, those bulbs were not long-lasting. It was Edison's incandescent light bulb which was a major success. He improves the filament hence the bulb could last longer. Without the light bulb, we could still be using the candles. The invention of the light bulb had a big impact on the industrial revolution as it allowed the workers to work at night and in dark places. Without light, it couldn't have been possible for them to work. Later the bulbs were improved further, and it proved to be one of the most used technologies. Without light bulbs, life would have been different. The characteristics of Edison's bulb was that it glowed brighter and lasted longer.

AlekseyPX

The line between free and slave was the 36°30′ parallel.

Maine would be a slave state.

Explanation:

  • The Missouri Compromise of 1820 was very important for various reasons. The compromise itself resolved, for now, the dispute over where slavery should and could exist in recently acquired Louisiana territory.
  • It urged that slavery did not exist above the 36 ° 30 'longitude.
  • The exception was Missouri, which entered the Union in 1820 as a slave state under compromise.
  • In addition to Missouri, Maine also entered the Union as a free state (formerly part of Massachusetts) to balance the number of free and slave states in the nation. This seeks to achieve equality of slaves and free states, along with a balance in Congress.
