Draw a diagram to illustrate the problem as shown below.
The length of baseboard needed is AB + BC + CD + DE + FE.
Note that 30 in = 30/12 ft = 2.5 ft.

Because of the door opening,
AB + EF = 12 - 2.5 = 9.5 ft
Also,
BC = DE = 10 ft
CD = 12 ft.

The amount of baseboard needed is
AB + BC + CD + DE + FE
= (AB + EF) + BC + CD + DE
= 9.5 + 10 + 12 + 10
= 41.5 ft

Answer:
41.5 feet of baseboard.

What is an equation of the line that is parallel to y=3x-8 and passes through the point (4,-5)
Anna [14]
Pareallell lines have same slope
y=mx+b, m=slope
y=3x-8 so we need
y=3x+b
find b

so given (4,-5)
we can subsitute the point
(x,y)
(4,-5)
x=4 then y=-5

so
-5=3(4)+b
-5=12+b
-17=b

y=3x-17 is equation

Percent of change: $25;300% increase
larisa86 [58]
First, find 300% of 25.

Percentages are parts of 100, so divide 300 by 100.

300 / 100 = 3.

So multiply that to 25.

3 * 25 = 75

Add it to 25:

75 + 25 = $100
