Katyanochek1 [597]

So you wanna find the area of each surface:

For the large square surface in the top you do 12*15=180 and there are two large squares faces so you multiply 180 by 2 which equals 360 then you find the small rectangle faces: 5*15=75 and multiply by 2 Bc there are 2 faces like that so it would be 75*2=150 then for the last faces you do 12*5= 60 *2= 120 at the end I add all of the faces up, 360+150+120=630

Complete the steps to solve the polynomial equation x3 – 21x = –20. According to the rational root theorem, which number is a po
jeka94

Answer:

Zeroes : 1, 4 and -5.

Potential roots: \pm 1, \pm 2, \pm 4, \pm 5, \pm 10, \pm 20.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equation is

x^3-21x=-20

It can be written as

x^3+0x^2-21x+20=0

Splitting the middle terms, we get

x^3-x^2+x^2-x-20x+20=0

x^2(x-1)+x(x-1)-20(x-1)=0

(x-1)(x^2+x-20)=0

Splitting the middle terms, we get

(x-1)(x^2+5x-4x-20)=0

(x-1)(x(x+5)-4(x+5))=0

(x-1)(x+5)(x-4)=0

Using zero product property, we get

x-1=0\Rightarrow x=1

x-4=0\Rightarrow x=4

x+5=0\Rightarrow x=-5

Therefore, the zeroes of the equation are 1, 4 and -5.

According to rational root theorem, the potential root of the polynomial are

x=\dfrac{\text{Factor of constant}}{\text{Factor of leading coefficient}}

Constant = 20

Factors of constant ±1, ±2, ±4, ±5, ±10, ±20.

Leading coefficient= 1

Factors of leading coefficient ±1.

Therefore, the potential root of the polynomial are \pm 1, \pm 2, \pm 4, \pm 5, \pm 10, \pm 20.

What is the surface area of this right prism?<br><br> Enter your answer in the box.<br><br> cm²
fomenos

Answer:

<h2>the answer is</h2><h2>166 cm²</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

surface area of the prism=2*area of the base+perimeter of the base*height

step 1

find the area of the base

area of the base=length* width

length=5 cm

width=4 cm

area of the base=5*4-----> 20 cm²

step 2

find the perimeter of the base

perimeter=2*[length+width]-----> 2*[5+4]----> 18 cm

step 3

height=7 cm

step 4

find the surface area

surface area of the prism=2*area of the base+perimeter of the base*height

surface area of the prism=2*20+18*7----> 166 cm²
