Answer:

D. constantly exhausted.

Explanation:

Mental health issues like high stress, depression and other such issues can have both mental and physical symptoms. However, feeling emotionally exhausted can have a clear impact on mental and physical state of a person. Emotional exhaustion could be a result of high stress and depression and can result in loss of motivation. It can also make the individual feel physically fatigued. Hence, Steve can use the term 'constantly exhausted' for describing his physical and mental state if he is in depression or state of excessive stress for a prolonged period of time.

Molodets [167]

Answer:

The left side of the equation will result in a rational number, which could be a non-perfect square.

Explanation:

According to the Pythagorean theorem, the sum of the squares of the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of the hypotenuse.

Take a=2,b=5

a^2+b^2=2^2+5^2=4+25=29

As a^2+b^2=c^2, c^2=29

Here, 29 is not a perfect square.

So, c is irrational.

If a is a rational number and b is a rational number, c could be an irrational number as the left side of the equation will result in a rational number, which could be a non-perfect square.

andrezito [222]

Answer:

Explanation:

After World War II, defeated Germany was divided into Soviet, American, British and French zones of occupation. The city of Berlin, though technically part of the Soviet zone, was also split, with the Soviets taking the eastern part of the city. After a massive Allied airlift in June 1948 foiled a Soviet attempt to blockade West Berlin, the eastern section was drawn even more tightly into the Soviet fold. Over the next 12 years, cut off from its western counterpart and basically reduced to a Soviet satellite, East Germany saw between 2.5 million and 3 million of its citizens head to West Germany in search of better opportunities. By 1961, some 1,000 East Germans—including many skilled laborers, professionals and intellectuals—were leaving every day

In August, Walter Ulbricht, the Communist leader of East Germany, got the go-ahead from Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev to begin the sealing off of all access between East and West Berlin. Soldiers began the work over the night of August 12-13, laying more than 100 miles of barbed wire slightly inside the East Berlin border. The wire was soon replaced by a six-foot-high, 96-mile-long wall of concrete blocks, complete with guard towers, machine gun posts and searchlights. East German officers known as Volkspolizei (“Volpos”) patrolled the Berlin Wall day and night.

valkas [14]

Answer:

Predictive validity.

Explanation:

As the exercise suggests with the Psychology Aptitude Test (PAT) scoring system; the predictive validity is a way of calculating how a determined score on a test predicts scores on a certain criterion measure. In other words, this is a correlation between tests and ratings; as shown in the example provided by the exercise: "Their scores were later compared to their performance in the introductory psychology course, and high scores on the PAT were related to high grades in the course".
