Dead Sea Scrolls
by Reginald Parks

The legendary scrolls of the Great Sea were one of the most sought after pieces of literature. The scrolls were said to tell the story of the boy who flew across the ocean with wings. These stories were passed on from century to century by one historian to another. However, the scrolls mysteriously vanished under the care of the monk Iago Macias while traveling on the Great Sea.1 After that, they were never seen again for hundreds of years, believed to have been lost at sea. Famous explorers, like Captain John Shark and Gerald Hines, searched for the scrolls.2 However, they failed to ever locate them.
The Great Sea scrolls seemed to be lost forever until Jonathan Reyes began his own quest to find them. In 1942, he and his team combed through the Great Sea.3 They used the knowledge of past historians to locate the area in which Macias was believed to have lost the scrolls. For months, the team searched until one of the divers spotted some strange debris on the sea floor.4 The pieces were bits of the scrolls that had been torn away by the sea. Reyes and his team carefully brought the remaining parts of the scrolls to the surface. There, they found that the scroll was almost perfectly preserved. With this discovery, the Great Sea scrolls were able to share their story after centuries of silence.

What should I word should I put there their and they're in the sentence unless there is some kind of delay zuri Ross Will finish
Sophie [7]

Answer:

The correct word to use here is indeed "there":

Unless there is some kind of delay, Zuri Ross will finish her project tonight.

Explanation:

The three words "there", "their", and "they're" are pronounced in exactly the same way, which can be confusing when we need to write them down. But there is a simple way to distinguish them:

1. they're → is the contraction of two words: They are. "They're" is used as the subject as well as the verb of a sentence. For example: They're already here! / They're talking about you.

2. their → is the possessive pronoun for the third person plural. It is used to show that something belongs to someone. For example: I saw their new car, it is really nice. / Their mother is looking for them.

3. there → this word can be used to refer to a location, almost opposite to "here". But it is also employed in "there + to be" to indicate the existence of something. For example: There is a park near here. / There was delay, so they haven't arrive yet.
