B. since there are two sides that are 10, that equals 20. the other two sides are unknown, making the width 2w

The equation for finding a perimeter is 2w+2ł=P. You have one side of the rectangle, the length is 10cm. To be able to put it into the equation, you have to double the length, which is 20 cm. You don't have the width, so it would just stay 2w. The ending equation is 2w+20=46. So your answer would be B. Hope that helps :)

Given the relation y = 7x2 + 3, if the input is 4, what is the output? (4 points)
aivan3 [116]
I'm assuming that you meant:
y = 7x² + 3

Remember! Inputs are always x values (unless stated otherwise). Meaning the problem says:
x = 4

y = 7(4)² + 3

The square only applies to the 4. The 7 is not going to be squared! (To be exact it only applies to whatever the value of x is.

4² = 4·4 = 16

Remember:
Parenthesis
Exponents
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction

Follow PEMDAS from left to right (or in the case above from top to bottom).

7·16 + 3 = ?

16·7 = 10·7 + 6·7 = 70 + 42 = 112
(All I did to multiply was break it up into parts. If it confuses you don't worry about it, and just multiply it out like normal or use a calculator if you are allowed to)

112 + 3 = ?

Our output is:
115!

HELP IMMEDIATELY!! ATTACHMENT<br>I'm not sure on how to find the y intercept please help! thanks
Yuliya22 [10]

well if you can find the slope then choose one of your ordered pair and plug them in tot he corresponding variable. since you don't know what the y intercept you basically find x which will be the y int.

What is sin 45°? O A. 1/2 12 1 OB. NI O C. 1 O D. O E. 1 3 O F. 13 ap.ex
andrew-mc [135]

1/√2

Step-by-step explanation:

Imagine a right-angled triangle, for e.g. Triangle ABC,

Where

B = 90°

Remember your Toa Cah Soh.

sin 45° = opposite / hypotenuse

If theta = 45°

Angles A and C = 45° (Sum of angles in a triangle equal = 180°)

Since theta are the same, we can also deduce that the length AB and BC are the same.

Take for example AB = BC = 1 = opposite

By the Pythagorean theorem,

AB² + BC² = AC²

1² + 1² = AC²

2 = AC²

AC = √2 = hypotenuse

Therefore:

sin 45° = opposite / hypotenuse

sin 45° = 1/√2
