W - 10 + w - 38 + w + 36 = 180

3w - 48 + 36 = 180

3w - 12 = 180

3w - 12 (+12) = 180 (+12)

3w/3 = 192/3

w = 64°

hope this helps

First add all of the numbers, which is -10+-38= -48+36=-12
then since triangles are 180 degrees, 180 - - 12= 192
192/3 = 64
so i think that 64 is w
so put 64 in place of all the w's

Stella [2.4K]
She spent 85%
⇒ She is left with 100% - 85% = 15%

15% = $75
1% = $75 ÷ 15 = $5
85% = $5 x 85 = $$425

(05.02)An artist is designing a kite like the one show below. Calculate the area to determine how much material she will need to
artcher [175]

Answer:

161.5 in.^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Since you don't have a figure, from your description, I understand that the base of each small upper triangle is 8.5 inches. That means that each small triangle on top has a base of 8.5 inches and a height of 5 inches, and each small triangle below has a base of 8.5 inches and a height of 13 inches. My calculations below are base don this understanding.

The area of a kite is

A = (Bb)/2

where B and b are the lengths of the diagonals.

The diagonals have lengths:

B = 13 in. + 6 in. = 19 in.

b = 8.5 in. + 8.5 in. = 17 in.

A = (Bb)/2

A = (19 in. * 17 in.)/2

A = (323 in.^2)/2

A = 161.5 in.^2
