Would actually be true, because our adrenal glands are on and have our SNS working, which can create quick, fast acting responses like these above.

This is rather than the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) which counteracts this response and calms us down, allowing things like sleep, and the excretion of melatonin to occur, which happens when we are calm, and relaxed. Specifically, growth, which occurs while you sleep, is controlled by the pituitary gland, and its job is to produce and release hormones into your body.
