The movement of the lithosphere is plate tectonics.
Plate tectonics is a structure of the earth's crust (lithosphere) that interacts with rigid "plates" that move slowly over the mantle.
I'm sure it's the second one, 'People were scared about the frequency of hurricanes.' But third also works!
Magma to granite:Magma rises along the crack and cause intrusive volcanism,in which magma intrudes into and is trapped inside the crust, it is cooled down and solidifies slowly to form intrusive igneous rock, and granite is one of them.
Granite into sand:Under denudation such as weathering, mass movement and erosion, the rock is broken down and the loose material is carried away to form sand
Sand to sandstone: the sand is deposite and sedimented, then lithification occurs in which the sediments are compacted and *cemented to form sedimentary rock.
*Cementation:minerals dissolve in water, such as silica or calcite, cement the loose rock together

caspian sea
Fun fact : Why is the Black Sea black? The sea was first named by the ancient Greeks who called it "Inhospitable Sea." The sea got this reputation because it was difficult to navigate, and hostile tribes inhabited its shore
I think that you can find the older layers in the middle of the rock. By the way sorry if I am/was wrong.
