During adolescence our bones becomes longer and heavier. The osteoclast helps in resorption of old bones to maintain calcium homeostasis.

Further Explanation:

The bones are metabolically active organ which undergoes remodeling throughout their life by resorption of old bone called osteoclast. Bones remodeling serves to maintain bones structure to make a change in its mechanical needs. Osteoclast helps in maintain plasma calcium homeostasis by resorption process.

Bone is a dynamic tissue which undergoes continuous renewing during the course of life which is called bone remodeling. Bone remodeling is the active and dynamic process that is needed for the correct balance it mainly depends upon to cells osteoblasts and osteoclast.

This is a collaborative function of two cells, osteoblast which helps in deposition of new bones that helps in repairing microfracture and osteoclast helps in absorption of old bones that helps in maintaining plasma calcium level. This process used to replace 10% of the skeletal tissue per year.

Osteoclast is the medical term for absorption of bones or which digest the old bones. They are multinucleated cells formed by fusion of mononuclear precursor. When the bone is little used than osteoclast removes the matrix and rid of unnecessary or extra mass. It reabsorbs the component from the old bones and released it into blood in response to use and disuse.

Osteoblasts are the cells in the bone tissue that are responsible to form bone tissue itself. This is the process that allows bones to grow. To counteract this process, osteoclasts, another type of cell from the bone tissue, have the role to break down bone tissue by molecular processes - enzymatic and chemical.

Two hypotheses about how life supporting molecules appeared on earth
Kay [80]
The two most common hypotheses that theorise the formation of life-supporting molecules on earth would be the Miller-Urey experiment and the meteorite phenomenon. In the meteorite theory, it is said that life on earth began when meteorites containing life-supporting molecules bombarded the planet that eventually caused lifeforms to grow.

Regulation of protein synthesis at the transcriptional level, since the question clearly states that the binding of the activated repressor to the operator (not promotor) prevents the binding of RNA polymerase to operator. RNA polymerase is used in transcription.

What have scientists learned from studying earthquake waves
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

Scientist have learned by studying seismic waves that the earth has liquid in its outer core. They also can predict if a earthquake might happen in a spot in the next hundred years or so.
