Political reforms replaced the political power of the aristocratic system with a more democratized system that empowered the middle and working class through the empowerment of urban areas.and by 1870 it was the most powerful country in the world.Due to the severe problem created by Industrial Revolution, Britain became the most urbanized country One great reform is the Reform Act o 1832 that provided the middle rising class with more political power in urban areas, and lessening representation areas of England.
Some political reforms were;

-The 1884 Reform Act gave vote to poor farmers and labourors which greatly reorganized electoral areas where population moved from the countryside to towns.
-The parliamentary act of 1911 that ended the veto of the House of Lords.

Social Reforms were introduced in 1906 when a liberal government was elected by a massive majority. Previously, a 30 % estimate of the population lived on the edge of starvation. Inequalities in wealth and income were also great where a middle class lived on 10 Pounds while a working class lived on 18 shillings a week. And, when the Boer War took place the medical condition of the working class were poor thus need for improvement or the nations health.
Social Reform introduced include:
-In 1907 medical tests were conducted for school students and free treatment to be provided.
-1906- Workers were compensated for injuries at work.
-1908- A five shillings pension was introduced for those over 70 years.

Which Nixon era policy shows how the Watergate scandal change relationship of the American people to the federal government?
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

The Watergate scandal was a political scandal in the United States involving the administration of U.S. President Richard Nixon from 1972 to 1974 that led to Nixon's resignation. The scandal stemmed from the Nixon administration's continuous attempts to cover up its involvement in the June 17, 1972 failed break-in of the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Washington, D.C. Watergate Office Building. After the five perpetrators were arrested, the press and the U.S. Justice Department connected the cash found on them at the time to the Nixon re-election campaign committee. Further investigations, along with revelations during subsequent trials of the burglars, led the U.S. House of Representatives to grant its judiciary committee additional investigation authority to probe into "certain matters within its jurisdiction," and the U.S. Senate to create a special investigative committee. The resultant Senate Watergate hearings commenced were broadcast "gavel-to-gavel" nationwide by PBS and aroused public interest. Witnesses testified that the president had approved plans to cover up administration involvement in the break-in, and that there was a voice-activated taping system in the Oval Office. Throughout the investigation, the administration resisted its probes, which led to a constitutional crisis.

How were napoleons invasion of Russia similar to Hitler's invasion of the Soviet Union
qwelly [4]
Adolf Hitler's 1941 invasion of the Soviet Union met with many of the same disastrous consequences as Napoleon Bonaparte's previous 1812 summer invasion of the country then known as Russia. Napoleon's attack on Russia, with what was most likely the largest armed force assembled in Europe up to that time, was virtually destroyed by the onset of the Russian winter's freezing temperatures, a lack of food supplies and successful Russian counterattacks. A similar fate befell Hitler's 1941 summer offensive against the Soviet Union when major miscalculations regarding the logistical challenges of the vast territory involved and the hostile Russian winter terrain led to crippling food and fuel shortages
