So first you would do y-y over x-x so it would be 3-12 over 4-7 which equals -9/3 so which is -3
You now plug it into y-3= -3(x-4) which equals y=-3x+15 so your b=15

Answer: b=1

Step-by-step explanation

Vertical difference “y”

Y2-Y1= 7-3=4

Horizontal difference

x2-x1=12-4=8

Slope is =(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

M=4/8= 1/2

3=1/2(4)+b

3=2+b

b=3-2

B=1

<u>Answer:</u>

  • The product is 21/32.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

<u>Write the product:</u>

  • => 2 5/8 x 2/8

<u>Convert it to improper fraction:</u>

  • => 21/8 x 2/8

<u>Multiply:</u>

  • => 42/64

<u>Simplify:</u>

  • => 21/32

Hence, <u>the product is 21/32.</u>

What is the x and y intercept of the parabola y=x^2-6x+10 and ow do you graph the equation
Mazyrski [523]
The x- intercept is where y = 0 on the graph and the y- intercept is where x= 0 on the graph. When X=0, all the terms, except for the constant are equal to zero, thus the y- intercept is the constant. y=10 when x=0. Use the quadratic formula to find the x value where y=0.
x= (-b +or- sqrt(b^2 -4ac))/2a

y=ax^2 +bx +c

The answer for the x- int is imaginary. This happens because 10 is the parabola's minimum value and it never touches the x- axis. y-int is 10

If the average speed of a garden snail is 0.025 miles per hour and one inch is approximately 2.54 centimeters, how many minutes
BaLLatris [955]

Snail takes 1.5 minutes to travel around one meter

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, the average speed of a garden snail is 0.025 miles per hour

And one inch is approximately 2.54 centimeters,

We have to find how many minutes would it take a garden snail to travel one meter?

Now, let us convert the speed in miles per hour to meters per minute

Then, speed = 0.025 miles per hour

= 0.025 x 1 mile / 1 hour

= 0.025 x 1609.34 meters / 60 minutes

= 0.025 x 1609.34 / 60 meters per minute

\begin{array}{l}{=\frac{0.025 \times 1609.34}{60} \text { meters per minute }} \\\\ {=\frac{40.2335}{60} \text { meters per minute }}\end{array}

= 0.670 meters per minute.

Now, 0.670 meters ⇒ 1 minute

Then, 1 meter ⇒ n minutes

So, by criss cross method

n x 0.67 = 1 x 1

n = 1.4912

Hence, snail takes 1.5 minutes approximately to travel 1 meter.
