Answer:

C. The individual states

Explanation:

Under the Articles of Confederation, the government scope and power were very few and insufficient to lead the newly independent nation, in fact, it did not have a President and it only consisted of a Congress which did not even have the authority to collect taxes, as for the states, each one of them were given sovereignty, freedom and all power that wasn't expressly delegated to the government, meaning that they could create a wide range of laws involving collecting taxes and their own trading policies, for example.

What two things were accomplished in the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty II signed by President Carter and Premier Brezhnev?
andrew11 [14]

Answer:

The Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty II aimed to:

b. Banned any new development of nuclear weapons

d. Managed to reduce the size of their nuclear arsenals

Explanation:

The Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty II or SALT II was the continuation of a previous attempt to regulate the nuclear arms threat between the US and the USSR.  This happened during a period known as the Cold War where the world was divided into 2 blocks competing for power: the Capitalist block led by the US, and the Communist block led by the USSR.

Both countries had developed large arsenals of nuclear weapons and a war between them would've had catastrophic consequences.  Talks between President Jimmy Carter and Premier Brezhnev began in November 1974.  They agreed to: limit the size of their nuclear arsenals, limit the development of new weapons, and limit the deployment of new offensive weapons.

The treaty was signed on June 18, 1979.

Describe Hellenistic culture in the city of Alexandria.
zmey [24]
Alexandrian Greeks placed an emphasis on Hellenistic culture, in part to exclude and subjugate non-Greeks. The law in Alexandria was based on Greek—especially Attic—law. There were two institutions in Alexandria devoted to the preservation and study of Greek culture, which helped to exclude non-Greeks.
