Divide the two known corresponding sides: JK/AB = 18/12 = 3/2 = 1.5
So the sides of triangle JKL are 1.5 (one and a half) times bigger than the corresponding sides for triangle ABC

1.5 is the linear scale factor

This extends to the perimeter as well:
perimeter of JKL = 1.5*(perimeter of ABC)
perimeter of JKL = 1.5*28
perimeter of JKL = 42 feet

It turns out that since the linear scale factor is 1.5, this means the area scale factor is (1.5)^2 = 2.25
The new area is found by multiplying the old area by 2.25

area of JKL = 2.25*(area of ABC)
area of JKL = 2.25*18
area of JKL = 40.5

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In summary:
Perimeter of JKL = 42 feet
Area of JKL = 40.5 square feet

Answer:

Answer:The formula for the area of a parallelogram is A = bh, and the formula for area of a triangle is A = 1/2bh. Since a triangle is half of the area of a parallelogram with the same base and height, the only difference in the formula is 1/2.

What are the names of three equal sides and all acute angles
shutvik [7]
A triangle with three equal sides is an equilateral triangle. A triangle with all acute angles is called an acute triangle. If a triangle fits both descriptions, it is an equilateral acute triangle. Hope this is what you were looking for!

5/6 divided by 7/8. please show work
Elis [28]
When you are dividing fractions you need to flip the second fraction and change the sign to multiply. So for this question you'd get:
5/6 x 8/7
then you multiply as normal.
getting you the answer of 40/48
this is equivalent to 5/6

Help I need it now!!
T14= 46, and t20= 100, find t3, t7, and tn
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

t_3 = -53\\\\\\t_7 = -17\\t_n= -80 +9n

Step-by-step explanation:

Arithmetic sequence:

       \sf \boxed{t_n=a+(n-1)d}

Here a is the first term and d is the common difference.

      t_{14}= 6    ⇒  \sf a + 13 d = 46  ------------(I)

     \sf t_{20} = 100 ⇒   a + 19d = 100 ---------(II)

Subtract equation (I) from (II)

(I1)    a + 19d = 100

(II)    a + 13d   =  46

      -    -            -

               6d = 54

                d = 54 ÷ 6

                 \sf \boxed{d = 9}

Substitute d = 9 in equation(I) and find 'a',

    a + 13*9= 46

     a + 117  = 46

              a = 46 - 117

              a = -71

\sf t_3 = -71 + 2*9

   = -71 + 18

   = -53

          \sf t_7 = -71 + 6*9

              = -71 + 54

              = -17

\sf t_n= -71 + (n-1)*9

    = -71 + 9*n - 1 *9

    = -71 + 9n - 9

    = -71 - 9 + 9n

     = - 80 + 9n
