First find out the total amount you need for your fabric.
2 1/2 yards for the shawl1 7/8 yards for the dress
The total would be    2 4/8  + 1 7/8  = 4 1/8 yards
Since you already have 9/10 of a yard, just subtract from your total amount.
  3  90/80  +  72/80 = 3 18/80 = 3 9/40   *good to simplify*
She needs 3 9/40 yards more of fabric.
You already have 9/10 of fabric so you don't need to pay for it.You need to just pay for the 3 9/40 yards.
3 * 6.87 = 20.61(6.87/ 40) * 9 = 1.54575
20.61 + 1.54575 = 22.15575 *round it*
You need $22.16 to make the dance outfit.

<h2>Answer:</h2>
  • The extra amount of fabric she needs  to complete the outfit is:

              3\dfrac{19}{40}\ \text{yard}

  • The money Ciara need to make her dance outfit is:

                     $ 23.87325

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

Ciara needs 2 1/2 yards of fabric for the shawl.

i.e. she needs 5/2 yard of fabric for the shawl.

( Since,

2\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{2\times 2+1}{2}=\dfrac{5}{2}\ \text{yards} )

Also,

She needs 1 7/8 yards of fabric for the dress.

i.e. She needs 15/8 yards of fabric for the dress.

Hence, the total fabric required for dress is:

\dfrac{5}{2}+\dfrac{15}{8}\\\\=\dfrac{5\times 4+15}{8}\\\\=\dfrac{35}{8}\ \text{yards}

She currently has 9/10 of a yard of fabric.

This means that the extra amount of fabric she needs to complete the outfit is:

         =\dfrac{35}{8}-\dfrac{9}{10}\\\\=\dfrac{35\times 10-9\times 8}{80}\\\\=\dfrac{350-72}{80}\\\\=\dfrac{278}{80}\\\\=\dfrac{139}{40}\\\\=3\dfrac{19}{40}\ \text{yard}

b)

Now she just need to buy 3 19/40 yard of fabric.

i.e. she need to buy 139/40 yard of a fabric.

Cost of 1 yard fabric= $ 6.87

Cost of 139/40 yard of fabric= $ 6.87×(139/40)=$ 23.87325

<u>Pythagorus theorum:</u>

9² = 3² + YZ²

81 - 9 = YZ²

√72 = YZ

∴YZ= 8.48 ≈ 8.5

<u>Trigonometry:</u>

We have adjacent as 3, and hypotenuse as 9

cos X = 3/9

X= cos∧-1 (3/9) → <em>[cos inversed]</em>

∴X= 70.5°

We have opposite as 3 and hypotenuse as 9

sin Z= 3/9

Z= sin∧-1 (3/9)→<em> [sin inversed]</em>

∴Z= 19.47 ≈ 19.5

Answer : 96

x – y = 16 --------> equation 1

\frac{1}{8} x +\frac{1}{2} y = 52

x is the higher grade and y is the lower grade

We solve the first equation for y

x - y = 16

-y = 16 -x ( divide each term by -1)

y = -16 + x

Now substitute y in second equation

\frac{1}{8} x +\frac{1}{2} ( -16 + x ) = 52

\frac{1}{8} x - 8 +   \frac{1}{2} x = 52

\frac{1}{8} x  +   \frac{1}{2} x - 8 = 52

Take common denominator to combine fractions

\frac{1}{8} x  +   \frac{4}{8} x  -8 = 52

\frac{5}{8} x - 8  = 52

Add 8 on both sides

\frac{5}{8} x   = 60

Multiply both sides by \frac{8}{5}

x = 96

We know x is the higher grade

96 is the higher grade of Jose’s two tests.

If angle ec is a bisector then angles Bec and ced are the same making them both 4x+1. we know a line segment equals 180°. so if we take the 11x-12 and add it to 2(4x+1) we end up with 19x-10=180. you add 10 to both sides and get 19x=190 then you divide by both sides. you'll end up with x=10. you plug In the 10 with aeb and aec and add them together to get 139°. if you're looking for the equation, it's 15x-11.
