Stacia needs 39 diamonds for every 3 chandeliers she makes.Complete the table using equivalent ratios
lianna [129]

Answer:

Part 1) 13\ diamonds

Part 2) y=3\ chandeliers

Part 3) x=52\ diamonds

Part 4) x=130\ diamonds

Part 5) y=40\ chandeliers

The complete table in the attached figure N 2

Step-by-step explanation:

see the attached figure N 1 to better understand the problem

Let

x -----> the number of diamonds

y ----> the number of chandeliers

we know that

The ratio between the number of diamonds to the number of chandeliers is equal to

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{39}{3} ----> equation A

Complete the table

Part 1) Find the number of diamonds if the number of chandeliers is equal to 1

so

For y=1

substitute in the equation A and solve for x

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{39}{3}

\frac{x}{1}=\frac{39}{3}

x=13\ diamonds

Part 2) Find the number of chandeliers if the number of diamonds is equal to 39

so

For x=39

substitute in the equation A and solve for x

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{39}{3}

\frac{39}{y}=\frac{39}{3}

y=3\ chandeliers

Part 3) Find the number of diamonds if the number of chandeliers is equal to 4

so

For y=4

substitute in the equation A and solve for x

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{39}{3}

\frac{x}{4}=\frac{39}{3}

x=52\ diamonds

Part 4) Find the number of diamonds if the number of chandeliers is equal to 10

so

For y=10

substitute in the equation A and solve for x

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{39}{3}

\frac{x}{10}=\frac{39}{3}

x=130\ diamonds

Part 5) Find the number of chandeliers if the number of diamonds is equal to 520

so

For x=520

substitute in the equation A and solve for x

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{39}{3}

\frac{520}{y}=\frac{39}{3}

y=40\ chandeliers

in the morning kylie drove to the store and used 7/10 of a gallon of gas. In the afternoon, she drove to the movie theater and u
Dimas [21]
Alright so all we are doing is adding 7/10 and 1/2
But sometimes that can be difficult because they don’t have the same denominator
In that case, we want to give them the same denominator (bottom number if the fraction)
So we do this by multiply 1/2 by 5/5 which will get you 5/10
We now have 5/10 and 7/10 which both have the same denominator (10)
So add them together and you will get 12/10
Now that’s more than 1 gallon so let’s figure out how much more
So 12/10 -10/10 (full gallon) = 2/10
So she used 1 2/10 gallons
If you want it in decimal form then it’s 1.2 (divide 2 by 10)
Hope that helped!

What is the area of an equilateral triangle with radius 15 centimeters? Round your answers to the nearest tenth, if necessary.
Georgia [21]
Radius is 2/3 of the height of an equilateral triangle.
15 = 2/3 h
h = 15 : 2/3 = 15 · 3/2 = 45/2 = 22.5 cm
a · cos 30° = h
a · √3/2 = h
a = 45/√3 = 15√3 cm
A = 1/2 · a · h = 1/2 · 15√3 · 22.5 = 0.5 · 15 · 1.7320508 · 22.5
A= 292.28 ≈ 292.3 cm²

Do the two parallelograms in the figure appear to be similar? Why or why not?
icang [17]

Answer:

Option A.

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two figures are similar, then the ratio of its corresponding sides is proportional and its corresponding sides are congruent

In this problem

The ratio of its corresponding sides are not proportional

because

\frac{6}{16}\neq \frac{6}{10}

therefore

The parallelograms are not similar because although corresponding angles have the same measures, corresponding sides aren't proportional
