<u>For W, </u><u>W = 28B.</u>

Given that one concrete block is 28 pounds, and that B is the number of blocks, we can multiply both values to get the amount of pounds, or weight, of the quantity of B blocks. So <em>W = 28B.</em>

<u>For B, </u><u>B = W ÷ 28</u>

Now that we know the equation for the weight, W = 28B, we can divide both sides by 28 to isolate the variable, B. The equation now becomes <em>B = W ÷ 28. </em>

The population of Oak Forest is increasing at a rate of 4% per year. If the population is 39,410 today, what will it be in three
Nataly [62]
The population of Oak Forest is increasing at a rate of 4% per year.

Increase rate, r = 4%

Current population, P = 39,410

time, t = 3 years

Population after 3 years will be:
P{(1 + \frac{r}{100} )}^{t} \\ \\ = 39410 \times { ( 1 + \frac{4}{100} )}^{3} \\ \\ = 39410 \times {1.04}^{3} \\ \\ = 44330.89 \\ \\ \approx \boxed{44331}

Population after 3 years will be 44331

How do you solve this math problem-2(x+3y)=18
ss7ja [257]
Greetings!

Solve for <em>x</em>.
-2(x+3y)=18
Distribute the Parenthesis. <em>How?</em> Multiply all of the terms inside the parenthesis by the number outside the parenthesis.
(-2)*x+(-2)*3y=18
-2x-6y=18
Add 6y to both sides.
(-2x-6y)+6y=(18)+6y
-2x=18+6y
Divide both sides by -2.
(-2x)/-2=(18+6y)/-2
The Answer Is:
x=-9-3y
x=-3y-9

Hope this helps.
