It was a period in which philosophers, thinkers, and scientists created many advances for humanity under concepts such as liberty and rights. The Napoleonic Wars started in May 1803 and ended in November 1815. During this period, Emperor Napoleon I fought other European nations, many times under the patronage of Great Britain. The Congress of Vienna started in November 1814 and ended in June 1815. Its main goal was to agree on the new peace terms for Europe after the Napoleonic Wars. The German unification was possible in 1871 due to the efforts of Prussian leader Otto von Bismarck.
