The keyword here is "area per volume" which is available in both cases. Besides capillaries are smaller than arteries they have in total more area as there are many vessels of then. The More the area/volum, the less the velocity

The difference arteries and Capillaries lies on their size

Capillaries have huge cross sectional area Than the arteries

The larger the size is, the smaller its velocity would be.

Which why the speed of blood in arteries would be faster compared to the one in Capillaries

hope this helps

b. plants, slug-insect-water fleas, frog-fish-newt, perch-fox, heron
c. water fleas, diving beetles
d. heron, perch
e. one thing that could happen if all frogs suddenly died is that there would be an overpopulation of slugs, insects, and beetles. another thing that could happen would be that foxes would only rely on getting slugs for food so the slugs would soon go extinct and the plants would possibly over populate.

hope this helps!!

Click and drag each label to the accurately identify the components of the visceral baroreflex
QveST [7]

The right answers are on the attached image.

Baroreflex is a reflex triggered when a baroreceptor is stimulated. In the human body, baroreceptors are found in the carotid sinuses and the sinus of the aorta. These receptors are stimulated during changes in blood pressure. Baroreceptors are sensitive to the stretching of blood vessels.

As blood pressure rises, baroreceptors transmit nerve impulses to the vasomotor center of the medulla oblongata, which is then inhibited. This results in vasodilatation of the blood vessels to reduce blood pressure.

Do you think that there should be a standard when participating medicine and science ?
9966 [12]
Honestly, this is supposed to be your opinion, but I will give you mine. I think there should by far be a quality standard, that they should always provide good quality things. It all just depends on what kind of standard they are talking about or what the question is referring to. If there are experiments going on, there should definitely be a certain standard of safety and ensure that the person would come out alive. I hope that this could help a bit, and I apologize if this was not the type of standard in which you were looking for. If you need further help, you can send a DM my way and I will respond when I get the chance. Have an amazing day!
