A gas station offers two ways to pay for oil changes. Plan 1: Pay $30 per oil change. y = 30x Plan 2: Pay $60 for the first oil

change and $15 for every oil change after the first. y = 15x + 60 At how many oil changes will the cost for both plans be equal?

It will take 4 oil changes

y = 30X

120=30(4)

y= 15X + 60

y= 15(4) + 60

y = 60 + 60

y= 120

For plan 1 we have the following equation:
 y = 30x

 For plan 2 we have the following equation:
 y = 15x + 60

 The variables are defined as:
 x: number of oil change
 y: total cost
 Equating the cost of both plans we have:
 30x = 15x + 60

 From here, we clear the value of x.
 We have then:
 30x - 15x = 60

15x = 60

x = 60/15

x = 4
 Answer:

The cost for both plans will be equal at 4 oil changes

The amount dispensed by a soft-drink dispensing machine has a normal distribution with mean μ and standard deviation 0.191 ounce
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

The value of mean is  \mu = 15.64

Step-by-step explanation:

The normal distribution of the soft-drink dispensing machine can be stated statistically like

                   X ~ N (\mu ,0.191^2)

The standard form representation is

           P(X

     Now we need to obtain \mu in such a way that

                   P(X>16) = 0.01

   In standard form

       Since

                 P(Z>16 -\frac{\mu}{0.191} ) = 0.03

   This means

              P(Z

Now looking at the z-table for probability of 0.99 we obtain 1.88

    i.e

            16 - \frac{\mu}{0.191} = 1.88

Making \mu\ the \ subject

        16 - \mu = 1.88 *0.191

       \mu = 16 -(1.88*0.191)

          =15.64

The bottom part of this block is a rectangular prism. The top part is a square pyramid. You want to cover the block entirely wit
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

Total paper required = 165 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Paper required to cover the entire block = (Surface area of the prism at the base - area of the top of the prism) + Lateral surface area of the pyramid

Surface area of the rectangular prism = 2(lb + bh + hl)

(here l, b, h are the length, width and height respectively)

                                                               = 2(5×5 + 5×4 + 4×5)

                                                               = 2(25 + 20 + 20)

                                                               = 2×65

                                                               = 130 cm²

Area of the top of the prism = (side)²

                                              = 5²

                                              = 25 cm²

Lateral area of the square pyramid = 4 × Area of one lateral side

                                                          = 4 × [\frac{1}{2}(\text{Base})(\text{Height})]

                                                          = 4 × [\frac{1}{2}(5)(6)]

                                                          = 60 cm²

Total paper required = (130 - 25) + 60

                                   = 105 + 60

                                   = 165 cm²

What is 225 percent as a decimal or fraction in simpilist form
serg [7]
225/100

225 ÷ 25 = 9
100 ÷ 25 = 4

So, 225% as a fraction in it's simplest form would be 9/4

If you want 225% as a decimal:

225/100
225 ÷ 100 = 2.25

So, 225% as a decimal in its simplest form would be 2.25
