Okay so everyone is very frantic correct? Tommy believes that there are aliens that don't want them leaving where they're at and there's conspiracy about the Goodmans being the aliens due to Les's weird behavior..
So a huge plot complication would be when Pete Van Horn goes to see whether their neighbors have power.
I chose this answer because everyone turned towards Charlie after he shot and freaked out. That was a huge plot complication in the story.
