I believe the answer is Gold.
Gold was a very hot commodity at that time because before we use paper/digital money like today, Gold was made as material to make a type of money with more intrinsic value.

What effect does climate have on early peoples migration
Pani-rosa [81]
For several years, migration has been attributed to climate change. People back then rely on plants and wild animals and marine life. However, periods of and cold had a great effect on the lives and development of plants and animals. Climate changes greatly affect what kind of plants will grow on a certain area (cold or hot area), thus, depends what animals will be there too. People need to go where abundant food is. When there is scarcity of food in a certain area, they are forced to move to another place where there is enough food. People back then moved out due to intense cold and intense heat. Where there is cold, they look for a warmer place, where there is intense heat; they look for a better place to cool off.

Degger [83]
The Middle Colonies were more diverse than colonies in New England and the South. Most of the early settlers depended on the fur trade and on farming for economic survival. The most populous of the Middle colonies was Pennsylvania, other colonies were settled rather haphazardly over the course of the 17th century.

How did the death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand instigate the collapse of peace in Europe.
zimovet [89]
It was a trigger that showed that there were two competing powers in Europe: Russia and Austria-Hungary (and their allies).

Franz Ferdinand was killed by a Serbian separatist and the Austrians wanted to see him punished. On the other hand, Russia supported Serbia is saying that Austrian demands ( to be allowed to search for the culprit inside Serbia) were too much.

This lead to a direct conflict between the two powers (Austria and Russia) and further lead to the war.
