There is seven days left before the solstice and Percy, Grover, and Annabeth just arrived in Denver. They find a car wash while Grover tries to contact Iris. After trying he manages to give the message to Iris to give the Gods. Annabeth uses her Drachma and requests to see Half-blood Hill and she sees Luke saying something about Chiron being busy with some type of trouble at the cabins. Then they traveled to a diner to get food, but they were interrupted by a large sound of a motorcycle. The man on the motorcycle stepped inside and offered to pay for the trio's food. They figured it was Ares (God of War) and he offered Percy a proposition to find Ares shield, but Percy refused. Then he tells them that Percy is being framed for stealing the lightning bolt so that someone would start a war.
