In Lebanon, Parliamentary sits are allotted to persons from different religions, and also the President must come from a particular religion and the PM from a specific religion. However, Israel has an electoral system based on nation-wide proportional representation, that is, the number of seats is proportional to the number of voters, therefore, to be elected, a party must have at least 3.25% of the votes.
.You can have equal rights and laws about hate crimes and discrimination and stuff like that. You also have to acknowledge it. Because you can't change if you don't see what you do is wrong.
