I would say the theme of the poem is love and to never give up that feeling because in the poem she feels sad and happy that she found her true love and never wanting to let go

Love is the major theme. The poem is based around the need of other people. The use of the phrase "I am yours" repeating throughout the poem shows how the poet themselves, belongs to another person as part of them. As close to them as their own flesh and blood.

Siddhartha in the story "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse, tried to prescribe how his son should live his life by imposing his own idea on the boy. He forgot to realize that he is making the boy to be like himself, ignoring the fact that the boy need to find his own path to peace and enlightenment.

Siddhartha tries to seek inner peace by following different paths like following the Samana, Buddha, the Brahmins, but finally found his own path by listening to the river. Siddhartha believes that his son would be driven the same way he was for the search for enlightenment. because Siddhartha believes that the river is the place for true learning and enlightenment.

But his son was not happy to be a ferryman on the river, and later ran away taking with him his father's money and that of Vasudeva. Siddhartha later realized that every person must follow their path to enlightenment.
