Argument Organizer (In your own words)

Claim: Violent video games should be banned.

Reason 1:
Parents should ban violent video games in their homes because the violence has a negative influence on teenagers. Violent acts on games greatly increases the possibility of teenagers becoming violent themselves.

Support for Reason 1: Evidence
Neuroscientists conducted a research and found that teenagers who played violent games on a regular basis had lower rates of success at school compared to teenagers who did not play violent video games(Family First Magazine, n.d.).

Reason 2:
Research also show that teenagers who play violent video games tend to be more aggressive and use physical violence during disagreements.

Support for Reason 2:

As a result, they can hurt someone seriously and are more likely to get into trouble with the law. Society should ban the sale of violent video games to protect the vulnerable minds of teenagers(Adolescent Health Sociology Journal,n.d.).

Counterclaim+rebuttal support:
Pychologists also did a study on teenagers asking if they felt violent video games should be ban and most of them stated that they were aware of the dangers but should still have the freedom of choice in their games. They also stated friends who played games involving violence were more prone to having fights and confrontations with adults at home, school and work (Study by Anderson, Gentile and Buckley, 2007).

Conclusion Clincher:
Teens love gaming but they have to educated on the dangers of violent video games. Refraining from playing these games excessively ensures their young minds will not become polluted by the violent scenes and cause harm to their loved ones and friends.

What does the phrase "What ideas about identity and belonging are presented in this text?" mean Will give brailiest if u help me
mylen [45]

Answer:

The context of Identity and Belonging is broad and can be approached in a number of ways. This article covers some of the “big ideas” that students will need to understand to respond effectively to prompts.

Explanation:

Belonging is important

In the same way that identity is important on its own, a sense of belonging is central to the human condition. The urge to belong is innate, stemming from our ancestry and is a source of safety and security. Even now, we are made more vulnerable by living separately from a group.

The groups we belong to change over time and this is important to our ability to grow and mature. Both the groups we associate with and the ones we idolize and are rejected from are significant forces on our lives.
