Answer:

The correct answer is C. Israel agreed to play a role in the Suez Crisis to protect its own political and territorial needs in the region.

Explanation:

The Suez Crisis started in 1956 in Egyptian territory. The conflict was between Egypt and an alliance formed by the State of Israel, France and the United Kingdom, following the nationalization of the Suez Canal by Egypt on July 26th. This alliance between two European states and Israel served common interests: the European nations had political, economic (majority shareholders) and commercial (mainly for oil transport) interests in the Suez Canal. Israel needed the opening of the canal for its maritime transport, but justified its military intervention against Egypt as a response to the fedayeen attacks it suffered on its territory. The overthrow of Nasser was also expected.

Which of these was a result of the Pottawatomie Massacre? Kansas’s citizens began a mass migration to northern states. Kansas
Andrews [41]

Answer:

B) Kansas collapsed into a civil war and many citizens were killed.

Explanation:

The sack of Lawrence and the massacre at Pottawatomie set off a brutal guerrilla war in Kansas. By the end of 1856, over 200 people would be gunned down in cold blood. Property damage reached millions of dollars. Federal troops were sent in to put down the fighting, but they were too few to have much effect. Kansas served as a small scale prelude to the bloody catastrophe that engulfed the entire nation only 5 years later.
