Answer: Marbury v. Madison

<em>Marbury v. Madison</em> was a United States Supreme Court case that established the principle of judicial review in the United States. This meant that the courts had the power to eliminate laws that oppose the Constitution. This is considered the most important decision in American constitutional law. The main idea of the case was that the Constitution did in fact represent a "law" that we have to adhere to, as opposed to a collection of political principles.
