In his speech about the rising cost of textbooks, Eli said, "For example, let’s imagine that there is a college student named Jo

e. Joe is taking public speaking, composition, algebra, and biology this semester. If Joe had walked into the bookstore to buy his textbooks in 1985, he probably would have paid around $400 for his books, but today, Joe’s books would probably cost around $800." Answer:

Eli used the hypothetical example.

Explanation:

A hypothetical example is one which doesn't exist, however we imagine as though it were to exist.

 • All things considered from the above question, the most ideal approach to give you the most precise comprehension is through utilizing a hypothetical example, so you can perceive what it resembles - and how this can animate personalities just as teach others in different manners.
 • For instance, if I somehow managed to ask you, "What might occur if Russia proclaimed war on Germany tomorrow?" - this would be a speculative situation. Russia, at any rate from my own comprehension, isn't going to go out and proclaim war against Germany tomorrow - for what reason would they?

Briefly, share a time when you set a goal and did not accomplish it, and then share a time when you set a goal and successfully
Anna [14]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Once, I set a goal and did not accomplish it because I lacked the commitment needed to accomplish it. Plain and simple.

But I want to share a time when I set a goal and successfully achieved it because I changed my attitude, show the proper commitment, and set clear goals that helped me to accomplish what I desired.

As I wrote above, I failed in the first example because I did not commit to the things that were necessary to do in order to get what I wanted. I did not take things seriously.

However, I was successful in my second example because I understood the lesson the first time I failed. I realized how the other people showed a different attitude than mine and they got better results.

It is true that effective goal-setting helps us achieve goals because they help us to get a clear picture of what we want and the things we need to do to get them.

Some characteristics of good goals are that they have to be specific, measurable, and attainable.

My three goals are:

Short-term.

To improve my school marks from an average of B to B+ the next semester, beginning in January 2021.

One mid-term. To be a first-team player on the basketball team of my school by March 2021.

Long-term. To get an opportunity to go to a summer exchange to a foreign country in the summer of 2022, to learn how people live and learn from a different culture.
