Subtract any term from the following term.

16 - 8 = 8

24 - 16 = 8

32 - 24 = 8

You don't need to do all the above subtractions. All you need to do is one of them. As you can see, all give the same result, 8.

Answer: The common difference is 8.

To find the common difference in the sequence 8, 16, 24, 32.... we must find what the difference between two consecutive terms is. A simple way to do this is to find the difference between the first term and the second term. That means that we have to do the second term - the first term. That means we do 16 - 8 which gives us that the common difference is 8.

During a promotional weekend, a clothing store gives a $50 gift card to every 75th person who enters the store. On Sunday, there
jeka57 [31]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is: 34 persons received the $50 gift card.

<h2>Why?</h2>

If we need to know how many many people received a $50 gift card over the two days (Sunday and Monday) we need to divide the total attendance by the number 75 because every 75 persons, there is a $50 gift card.

So, calculating we have:

TotalAttendance=SundayAttendance+MondayAttendance\\TotalAttendance=1030+1562=2592

Then, dividing the total attendance by 75 to know how many people received a $50 gift card over the two days, we have:

ReceivedGiftCards=\frac{2592}{75}=34.6

Hence, rounding to the nearest whole number, 34 persons received the $50 gift card.

Have a nice day!

Write a function that represents the situation. Find the balance A in the account after the given time period t. $6200 deposit t
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

  1. A=P(1+r)^t
  2. \$7029.46

Step-by-step explanation:

As this is the case of exponential growth, we can use the function

A=P(1+r)^t

Here A is function of t, where A gives the balance after time t.

P = initial deposit,

r = rate of change or rate of interest,

$6200 deposit that earns 8.4% annual interest compounded monthly for 18 months.

So,

P = $6200,

r = 8.4% annual =\dfrac{8.4}{12}\% monthly = \dfrac{0.084}{12} monthly (as interest compounded monthly)

t = 18 months,

Putting all the values,

A=6200(1+\frac{0.084}{12})^{18}

=6200(1+0.007)^{18}

=6200(1.007)^{18}

=\$7029.46

Which parabola will have a minimum value vertex?
guapka [62]

Answer:

<h2>On a coordinate plane, a parabola opens up with x-intercepts at (negative 2, 0) and (2, 0), and a y-intercept at the vertex (0, negative 4).</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Parabollas are characterized by being curves which opens upside or downside.

When the parabolla opens upside, then we say it has a minium.

When the parabolla opens downside, then we say it has a maximum.

In either the minium or maximum point is defined by the vertex.

As you can observe, among the choices, the last one is the only one that opens up, therefore, it has a minimum value vertex.
