Subtract any term from the following term.

16 - 8 = 8

24 - 16 = 8

32 - 24 = 8

You don't need to do all the above subtractions. All you need to do is one of them. As you can see, all give the same result, 8.

Answer: The common difference is 8.

To find the common difference in the sequence 8, 16, 24, 32.... we must find what the difference between two consecutive terms is. A simple way to do this is to find the difference between the first term and the second term. That means that we have to do the second term - the first term. That means we do 16 - 8 which gives us that the common difference is 8.

Help please I need to find the area I don’t know how thanks
otez555 [7]

Answer:

49.62

Step-by-step explanation:

You can start by dividing the shape into 2 separate rectangles to make calculating the area easier.

9.3 x 2.4 = 22.32

10.5 x 2.6 = 27.3

Then, add the areas of the two separate rectangles to find the total area of the shape.

22.32 + 27.3 = 49.62. Hope that helped

Wyatt has a bag that contains pineapple chews, cherry chews, and lime chews. He performs an experiment. Wyatt randomly removes a
arlik [135]

The possibility Wyatt has of getting a lime chew would be 12% because his chance would be according to his experiments would be 4/33, which means that the percentage of Wyatt getting the lime chew would be 12.1212% (which the neares whole number percentage would be 12%).

What is the explicit formula for this geometric sequence with recursive formula
Nonamiya [84]

C

generate the first few terms using the recursive formula

a_{2} = - 7 × \frac{1}{3} = - \frac{7}{3}

a_{3} = - \frac{7}{3} × \frac{1}{3} = - \frac{7}{9}

a_{4} = - \frac{7}{9} × \frac{1}{3} = - \frac{7}{27}

r = a_{2} / a_{1} = \frac{1}{3}

the n th term formula (explicit ) for a geometric sequence is

a_{n} = a_{1}r^{n-1} = - 7(\frac{1}{3})^(n - 1)

A young child throw a ball upwards with an initial velocity of 20 feet/second. The height of the ball (in feets) after t seconds
Levart [38]
If this is a parabolic motion equation, then it is a negative parabola, which looks like a hill (instead of a positive parabola that opens like a cup). Your equation would be h(t)= -16t^2 + 20t +3. That's the equation for an initial velocity of 20 ft/s thrown from an initial height of 3 ft. And the -16t^2 is the antiderivative of the gravitational pull. Anyway, if you're looking for the maximum height and you don't know calculus, then you have to complete the square to get this into vertex form. The vertex will be the highest point on the graph, which is consequently also the max height of the ball. When you do this, you get a vertex of (5/8, 9.25). The 9.25 is the max height of the ball.
