To find the equation,we can do it in different parts.

As he spent more than $100, it will be written as >$100.

The rental cost is daily would be 2 times the miles he had driven plus 23,the base cost:23+2x.

Therefore,the answer is D. 23+2x > 100.

Hope it helps!

Its D because it was only one day , so its 23 dollars, then its 2 dollars a mile so it would be 2x and all of that is more than 100 dollars

Is the given number a solution of an equation or inequality 3x-4=10;5
kotykmax [81]

The given number is not a solution of the equation i.e. the number is an inequality

<h3>How to determine the solution?</h3>

The equation is given as:

3x- 4 = 10

The number is given as:

5

This means that

x = 5

Substitute x = 5 in 3x- 4 = 10

3 * 5- 4 = 10

Evaluate the product

15- 4 = 10

Evaluate the difference

11 = 10

The above equation is not true i.e. the equation is actually an inequality

Hence, the given number is not a solution of the equation i.e. the number is an inequality

What is the graph to the rational function?
Aneli [31]

We are given

y=\frac{x^2-4x+3}{x^2-9}

Vertical asymptotes:

Firstly, we will factor numerator and denominator

we get

y=\frac{(x-1)(x-3)}{(x-3)(x+3)}

We can see that (x-3) is common in both numerator and denominator

so, we will only set x+3 to 0

and then we can find vertical asymptote

x+3=0

x=-3

Hole:

We can see that (x-3) is common in both numerator and denominator

so, hole will be at x-3=0

x-3=0

x=3

Horizontal asymptote:

We can see that degree of numerator is 2

degree of denominator is also 2

for finding horizontal asymptote, we find ratio of leading coefficients of numerator and denominator

and we get

y=\frac{1}{1}

y=1

so, option-D............Answer

There is an antenna on the top of a building. From a location 300 feet from the base of the building, the angle of elevation to
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

Height of the antenna = 28 ft (Approx)

Given:

Length of base = 300 ft

Angle of elevation to the building = 40°

Angle of elevation to the antenna = 43°

Find:

Height of the antenna

Computation:

Using trigonometry function:

Tan40° = Height of building / Length of base

Height of building = 251.73 ft

Tan43° = [Height of building + Height of the antenna]  / Length of base

0.9325 = [251.73 + Height of the antenna] / 300

Height of the antenna = 28.02 ft

Height of the antenna = 28 ft (Approx)
