Two automobiles left simultaneously from cities A and B heading towards each other and met in 5 hours. The speed of the automobi

le that left City A was 10 km/hour less than the speed of the other automobile. If the first automobile had left City A, 4.5 hours earlier than the other automobile left city B, then the two would have met 150 km away from B. Find the distance between A and B.

Given:

The two cars met at t= 5 hours
Car A leaves at t=0
Car B leaves at t = 4.5 hours, so only traveled for only 0.5 hours.
Car B travels 150 kilometers
so d = distance from A to B
As a result, Car A travels d - 150 km

150 = (Vb) * (0.5) ---> time of travel which is 0.5 hours
divide both sides by 0.5, you'll get Vb = 300 km/h this is the speed of Car B

Va = Vb - 10km/hr
Va = 300 - 10km/hr
Va = 290 km/hr is the speed of Car A

so:
d - 150 = (Va) * t
d - 150 = 290 * 5
d - 150 = 1450
d = 1450 + 150
d = 1600 km

The distance between Car A and Car B is 1600 kilometers.

List the two factor pairs of 10
Triss [41]
The factors of 10 are 1, 2, 5, and 10. You can also look at this the other way around: if you can multiply two whole numbers to create a third number, those two numbers are factors of the third. 2 x 5 = 10, so 2 and 5 are factors of 10. 1 x 10 = 10, so 1 and 10 are also factors of 10.

The Apple harvest produced 2,350kg of Apple's. A farmer packs 36 apples in the box. One apple weighs approximately 250 grams how
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The total number of apples produced at the apple harvest is 2,350kg.

1 kg = 1000 grams. Therefore,

2350 kg = 2350 × 1000 = 2350000kg

A farmer packs 36 apples in the box. If one apple weighs approximately 250 grams, the total weight of 36 apples would be

36 × 250 = 9000 grams

Therefore, the number of boxes that are needed to pack the apples would be

2350000/9000 = 261.11

It means that 262 boxes would be needed.

What is the exact value of tan 30° ? Enter your answer, as a simplified fraction, in the box.
Romashka [77]
Hmmm if you don't have a Unit Circle, this is a good time to get one, many you can find online.  Anyhow, check your unit circle for cos(30°) and sin(30°).

\bf tan(\theta)=\cfrac{sin(\theta)}{cos(\theta)}\qquad \qquad tan(30^o)=\cfrac{sin(30^o)}{cos(30^o)}
\\\\\\
tan(30^o)=\cfrac{\quad \frac{1}{2}\quad }{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}\implies tan(30^o)=\cfrac{1}{2}\cdot \cfrac{2}{\sqrt{3}}\implies tan(30^o)=\cfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}
\\\\\\
\stackrel{\textit{and now if we rationalize the denominator}}{\cfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\cdot \cfrac{\sqrt{3}}{\sqrt{3}}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt{3}}{(\sqrt{3})^2}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt{3}}{3}}
