This is a very complex doctrine that says that the Pope's successor is a legitimate office and that the Bishops of Rome were to choose that successor. What makes it complex from a theological point of view is that Peter was (it is believed) the Bishop of Antioch and it was on him that Christ proclaimed his church. So the succession could be argued to be the Bishop of Antioch to the present should have been the Pope. All of this is based on Matthew 16:17 - 19 if you are at all interested. It is a very famous verse.

Not only that there is another problem. It took 150 years for the Papacy to be established and some time after that to declare how it should be done.

Why do you think the Whitmans stopped baking bread when<br> they reached buffalo country
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

Bread is a staple food prepared from a dough of flour and water, usually by baking. Throughout recorded history, it has been a prominent food in large parts of the world. It is one of the oldest human-made foods, having been of significant importance since the dawn of agriculture, and plays an essential role in both religious rituals and secular culture.

Explanation:

Bread may be leavened by naturally occurring microbes, chemicals, industrially produced yeast, or high-pressure aeration. In many countries, commercial bread often contains additives to improve flavor, texture, color, shelf life, nutrition, and ease of production.

Explain Coolidge’s idea of Trickle Down Economics.
iren2701 [21]
Trickle-down economics, or “trickle-down theory,” states that tax breaks and benefits for corporations and the wealthy will trickle down to everyone else. It argues for income and capital gains tax breaks or other financial benefits to large businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs to stimulate economic growth. The argument hinges on two assumptions: All members of society benefit from growth, and growth is most likely to come from those with the resources and skills to increase productive output.
