The End of the First World War on November 11th, 1918 marked the fall of global powers such as the German Empire, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire.

The Treaty of Versailles, which was signed by the United States, Great Britain, France, and Germany, forced this last country to accept responsibility of all the damages and economic losses that were caused due to the war. Germany had to repay a total of 31.2 billion dollars at the time of the treaty's signature to the other 3 participants of the war.

The outcome of this conflict left the United States ina. favorable position, as his European counterparts were recovering from the effects of the war.

Why are Napoleon and the events of his life significant to history as well as to modern society?
nadezda [96]
<span>Napoleon impacted both Europe and the world in a number of ways.  When thinking about Napoleon’s impact, we have to realize that he did not necessarily intend to have the impacts that he did.  Instead, much of his impact came about inadvertently or even in response to his actions.
