Senator Albert J. Beveridge claimed that the U.S. needed to expand trade into new overseas markets to sell Americas surplus of goods.

Albert Jeremiah Beveridge was an American historian and US senator from Indiana. He was an intellectual leader of the Progressive Era and a biographer of Chief Justice John Marshall and President Abraham Lincoln.

In 1899 he was elected as a Republican to the U.S. Senate  where he backed the progressive legislation sponsored by President Theodore Roosevelt.

Which of the following is the best summary of Gerald Ford’s presidency? Ford assumed office after Nixon’s impeachment, continued
Art [367]

The answer would be the last option.  Nixon was detached from office by his own resignation. It is extensively supposed that had Nixon not resigned, his accusation by the House and elimination from office by a hearing before the United States Senate would have happened. Ford persisted the détante policy that Nixon has tracked. However, he did not win the 1976 election.
