What is allelic exclusion and why is it important?

Biology

Answer:

Allelic exclusion is defined as a process in which only one allelic gene is expressed and other allele remains silenced.

Allelic exclusion plays important role for cell surface receptors in genes and  in immune cells like B lymphocytes. The allelic exclusion controls binding site of B cells and allows only one type of binding site expressed in each B cell as    binding site of an antibody is decided by the combination of a particular heavy and light chain.

What is the INPUT and OUTPUT of Meiosis?
Snezhnost [94]

Explanation:

the output of meiosis is:- Meiosis is the form of eukaryotic cell division that produces haploid sex cells or gametes (which contain a single copy of each chromosome) from diploid cells (which contain two copies of each chromosome).

And the input is:- Meiosis is to produce gametes, or sex cells. During meiosis, four daughter cells are produced, each of which are haploid (containing half as many chromosomes as the parent cell).

For both actin and microtubule polymerization, nucleotide hydrolysis is important for?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

For both actin and microtubule polymerization, nucleotide hydrolysis is important for controlling the growth of a microtubule.

Polymerization dynamics enable microtubules to adopt rapidly changing spatial arrangements and, in some cases, perform mechanical tasks according to cellular needs. Microtubules harness the energy of GTP hydrolysis to drive a unique polymerization mechanism called dynamic instability.

Microtubules are one of the main components of the cytoskeleton and are rigid hollow rods approximately 25 nm in diameter. microtubules. are made up of dimers of α- and β-tubulin which polymerize to form microtubules, which are composed of 13 protofilaments assembled around a hollow core.

in order for electric charge to flow, there must be a difference in: current. electric potential. resistance. static electricity
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer: electric potential

Explanation:

The flow of electric charges is known as electricity. Electricity flows from higher potential to lower potential. The difference in voltage/potential causes charges to flow. Potential difference is the amount of work done per unit charge to move against electric force. It measured in Volts = Joules/ Coulomb.
