It definitely wouldn't be an almanac, because those are typically calendars containing important dates in history, it would not be a dictionary for obvious reasons, and the choice Internet Search Engine is inherently bad to people for some reason even though I would find that the most useful source. 

My best guess would point towards answer "C", an Encyclopedia.
