Odysseus had returned to his home in Ithaca but he was disguised as a beggar. Eurycleia, one of Penelope's maids, recognices him when she was bathing him and saw a particular scar he had.

Odysseus had a scar above his knee, caused by a boar while he was hunting with his grandfather. This testimony of the scar is what Eucycleia presents to Penelope to reveal Odysseus presence in Ithaca.

Consider a historical event of interest to you. The crucible as a formatting template, compose a script for one act of a play re
Tomtit [17]

As this question asks for a 150-word dramatic script, this is a task that only you can complete. However, we are nevertheless able to provide you with some guidance that might help you complete this task.

The play <em>The Crucible</em> is based on a historical event: the Salem witch trials. An example of an event I am interested in is the Trail of Tears. The Trail of Tears was the forced relocation of Native Americans in the United States. These were carried out as a consequence of the Indian Removal Act, and it led to the death of thousands of Native Americans.

Two techniques that I would use to develop the theme would be imagery and metaphor. Imagery would allow me to create a vivid picture of the events in the reader's mind. Metaphor would allow me to use comparisons in order to describe the meaning of the text.

If you have ever read the story the Lottery write a body paragraph on how the lottery is a wrongful ritual
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

The story presents the possibility that the lottery is dying out. For example, a passage in the seventh paragraph indicates that the villagers have already permitted certain parts of the lottery ritual to be lost. [A]t one time, some people remembered, there had been a recital of some sort, performed by the official of the lottery, a perfunctory, tuneless chant that had been rattled off duly each year; some people believed that the official of the lottery used to stand just so when he said or sang it, others believed that he was supposed to walk among the people, but years and years ago this part of the ritual had been allowed to lapse. There had been, also, a ritual salute, which the official of the lottery had had to use in addressing each person who came up to draw from the box, but this also had changed with time, until now it was felt necessary only for the official to speak to each person approaching.

What does Wollstonecraft dislike about the way women are educated?
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

They weren't educated to be intellectuals, but to please women. Wollstonecraft says that too many women "exercise a short-lived tyranny" but end up "slaves". She felt that women should not be educated in isolation from men, but instead be taught the same things as men and should be afforded the same education.

Hope this helps!
