Answer:

True.

Explanation:

Courts are indirectly influenced by the media. The media influences and mitigates a disparity across the political orientation of districts. This is more or less aggravated by the media presence in a district, town, small city, etc, given that the coverage of cases that are in court can be made to influence a particular outcome by, for example, a newspaper coverage of the case. Many times, as the exercise briefly explains, a way to influence the court could be to present the judge or the court of law itself as soft, slow, "easy" on criminals, etc.

Answer:

TRUE

Explanation:

Regular viewers of crime shows are more likely to fear crime. Although there are a few limitations with regard to the measures of media consumption. First, the type of crime show that the respondent is viewing is unknown. There are numerous types of crime shows that may focus on different aspects of the criminal justice system. For example, crime shows may focus on police, courts, private investigators, defense lawyers and sometimes even the criminals. In addition, some shows are more realistic, while others routinely portray violence, and consistently misinform viewers about the nature of the criminal justice system and criminality. It would be prudent to know which dramas the respondents are viewing. Second, employing television hours watched is problematic, since there is no way of determining what type of programs the respondent is viewing. There are a number of different programs that may or may not address criminal justice issues and address them in substantially different ways. Finally, examining newspapers as the primary source of crime news suggests that only newspapers influence respondents. It would be naive to suggest that respondents are not affected by a number of sources; for example, respondents who receive their primary crime news from newspapers may also be affected by presentations of crime from other sources such as films, television and/or personal experiences

Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) describes a phenomenon in which physically healthy people feel the constant desire for an impairment of their body. In other words, they are people who want the amputation of one or more healthy limbs or who want paralysis. In some articles, this disorder is compared to gender dysphoria, studying their similarities and differences, and arriving at the conclusion that BIID may be a new type of identity disorder.

Do you think America did the right thing by dropping the atomic bomb on Japan? Why or why not?
Rama09 [41]

Answer:

No.

Explanation:

Dropping the bombs on Hiroshima is recognized as a right decision by America for many. Had the bomb not been dropped, the war would have prolonged on, but dropping the bomb cost many lives in Japan and almost destroyed the country. Though the act is considered justifiable for saving lives, it actually destroyed as much as it saved. A surrender would definitely have occurred eventually, if maybe a little later than sooner. But the bomb had been unnecessary. Japan suffered consequences for decades. Besides, the action was not only inhumane, but also racially motivated. For listed reasons, I believe the dropping of the atomic bomb was not quite the right thing to do even though many would argue otherwise

tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

androgen; males

Explanation:

Androgen is any natural or synthetic hormone which increases the male characteristics in a body. In humans the androgen is testosterone.

Testosterone is an anabolic steriod and the main male sex hormone. It has an important role in the development of the testes and prostate.

In the fetus of male brain aromatization of testosterone to estrogen occurs. This enters the male brain after crossing the blood–brain barrier.

In the fetus of the female brain α-fetoprotein is present which causes the estrogen to bind and does not affect the main brain.
