Answer:

There are three different types of artificial cloning: gene cloning, reproductive cloning and therapeutic cloning.

Gene cloning produces copies of genes or segments of DNA. Reproductive cloning produces copies of whole animals. Therapeutic cloning produces embryonic stem cells for experiments aimed at creating tissues to replace injured or diseased tissues.

Gene cloning, also known as DNA cloning, is a very different process from reproductive and therapeutic cloning. Reproductive and therapeutic cloning share many of the same techniques, but are done for different purposes.

Answer: Dolly was produced by nuclear transfer. Which involved placing the nucleus of a body cell (an udder cell) from the sheep they wanted to clone into an empty egg cell which had had its nucleus removed. a short, sharp electric current helped the cell to start dividing. it was then implanted into another sheep to grow.

Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

E. The length of cells in the elongation and mature zones would be larger in the control group.

Explanation:

The length of cells in the elongation and mature zones would be larger in the control group this is because of the increase in the solute concentration of the hydroponic growth medium which excluded the roots.

This reduces the amount of water that moves into the root system of the plants and nutrients which imitate drought conditions, this imposed drought leads to a decrease in the plant growth.

Why do biologists believe that a primitive choanoflagellate protist is the ancestor to all animals
Tpy6a [65]
Since an animal only becomes more complex, and not simpler, an ancestor to all organisms would have to be the most simple and primitive organism.

Answer:

D) An original parent DNA strand and one newly synthesized DNA strand comprising a new DNA molecule.

Explanation:

 • Semi-conservative replication refers to two strands of DNA unzip, and a new strand is assembled onto each 'conserved' strand.
 • The replicated double helix consists of one old strand and one newly synthesised strand.
 • It describes the structure of DNA, a twisted helix of two strands with bases joining the strands.
