Well, I'm assuming you're talking about these terms...

Species, Genus, Family, Order, Class, Phylum, Kingdom, Domain

Answer:

You must be referring to the following terms:

Species, Genus, Family, Order, Class, Phylum, Kingdom.

Explanation:

Karl von Linné, or simply Lineu, was a Swedish botanist who, in 1735, proposed the classification of beings into groups, which he called taxa. In his work entitled Systema Naturae, he suggested classifying it into larger groups, called kingdoms, even smaller groups, which he called species. The categories proposed by Lineu were: kingdom, class, order, genus and species.

Currently, the main taxonomic categories are: kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus and species, two more than the ones initially proposed by Lineu. The Kingdom is the largest unit of biological classification and groups phyla of organisms with similar characteristics. The phylum, in turn, group similar classes, which group similar orders, which group families, which group similar genders. In the genera, similar species are grouped, which is the most basic taxonomic category of the classification. We can define species as a group of organisms that reproduce among themselves and are capable of producing fertile descendants.

The inability of organisms to evolve anything that could be an advantage reflects _____.
sergey [27]

The inability of organisms to evolve anything that could be an advantage reflects "the limit of historical constraints".

What is the limit of historical constraints of evolution?

Although evolution is a powerful process that leads to

rapid changes in the characteristics of organisms, limits

to evolution arise from a lack of genetic variation, a

loss of well-adapted genotypes in populations due to

gene flow, trait interactions leading to trade-offs, and/

or the difficulty of evolving simultaneous changes in a

number of traits. This is the limit of historical constraints of evolution.

What are the factors that can cause an organism to evolve?

Four main factors lead to evolution:

(1) the potential for a species to diversify;

(2) heritable genetic variation among individuals within a species as a result of mutation and sexual reproduction;

(3) competition for scarce resources; and

(4) the spread of organisms that are better able to endure and procreate in the environment.

Why are shadows longer in the morning and evening?
Luden [163]

Answer:

Shadows are longest in the early morning and late afternoon/early evening when the sun appears low in the sky. As the Earth rotates on its axis, the sun hits each location in the morning at an angle. ... As Earth continues to spin toward sunset, the increasing angle causes shadows to lengthen!

How does Caenorhabditis elegans extract the energy it needs for growth and maintenance?
nika2105 [10]
The worm feeds via a "pumping" action in which it first uptakes the fluid surrounding it. Then, it expels the fluid while trapping any bacteria within it. The bacteria are then digested for energy and nutrients.

Which phenomenon causes oceans to bulge? the blowing wind the Coriolis effect the moon’s gravity the rotation of Earth
Gelneren [198K]

The correct answer is (c) the moon' gravity

The moon's gravity causes oceans to bulge. The moon's gravitational power is responsible for the rising and falling tides.The moon affects the ocean on the sides of the planet facing and facing away from it which causes oceans to bulge away from the earth. On one side ocean bulges away from the earth as planet is being pulled towards the moon and on the other side the ocean bulges towards the moon. Bulges facing towards the moon is high tides and bulges not facing towards moon is low tides.
