The answer is a because if he has 36 cookies you start with that number. Then you don't know how many cookies he gave to his three friends so you have c as the variable that is multiplied by three. These two sets connect (36-cookies to begin with) minus(because he is giving away so he doesn't have them) and (3c-becuase 3 friends times the amount of cookies he gives each[unknown value=c])
So put together it's
36-3c

I hope that helped and wasn't to long

The amounts of Cathy’s last six clothing purchases were $109, $72, $99, $15, $99, and $89. For each question, choose the mean, m
lisov135 [29]

Answer:

The mean value = $80.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The value of her last six spendings are $109, $72, $99, $15, $99, and $89.

For the mean.

Mean = Total spendings/number

Mean =483/6

Mean = $80.5

For the median.

Lets arrange it in ascending order

$15 ,$72, $89, $99, $99, $109

The middle values are two.

Median = (89+99)/2

Median = 188/2

Median = $94

For the mode

$15 ,$72, $89, $99, $99, $109

Highest occuring is $99 with two frequencies.

To convince her parents that she needs an increase in allowance she would show them the bigger spendings .

So the least value on the list it's mean value which is $80.5.

Which of the following is a valid exclusion for the algebraic fraction:
erastova [34]
We have the following expression:
 (27a ^ 3-1) / (9a ^ 2-6a + 1)
 Rewriting we have:
 (27a ^ 3-1) / (9a ^ 2-6a + 1)
 (27a ^ 3-1) / ((3a-1) * (3a-1))
 We exclude the values that make the denominator zero:
 3a-1 = 0
 a = 1/3
 Answer:

a valid exclusion for the algebraic fraction is:

c. a ≠ 1/3

Lin counts 5 bacteria under a microscope. She counts them again each day for four days, and finds
svetlana [45]

Answer:

Yes, but it is not linear. It is exponential :  f(x) = 5\cdot 2^{x-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

On the first day we have 5 bacteria.

On the second day we will have 5*2 = 10 bacteria.

On the third day we will have 10*2 = 5*2*2 = 5*2^2 = 20 bacteria.

On the fourth day we will have 20*2 = 5*2*2*2 = 5*2^3 = 40 bacteria.

We can see that

                                                f(x) = 5\cdot 2^{x-1},

where x is a number of days and f(x) gives us the number of bacteria.
