(Which goal(s) did the program target? Explain.)
Rasek [7]
Youth were given opportunities for school, employment, counseling, and enjoyment. Student aid was provided to students in high school, college, and graduate school. For their efforts, students were required to work part-time at schools. "I brought a piece of paper home and typed all night to deliver to school the next morning." This is an excellent program. I was able to do the necessary tasks. Teens were given the opportunity to work for cash. I spent my money on clothes, shoes, school supplies, movies, and other frivolous things. Pickles, candy bars, and such such things. I was able to relieve my mother of the burden of my constant requests for money. For graduates who were unable to find work or for dropout youngsters, NYA provided part-time jobs such as working on highways, parks, and the grounds of public buildings. Helped young people, such as dental assistants, obtain training and employment prospects.
